Here are the most recent Wellington region real estate statistics from REINZ.
National median house prices have risen more than 11% in the past year (outside of Auckland.
Sales volumes across the country have continued to decline – in Auckland they are down 33.2% for the year to June and nationally they’re down 24.7% for the same period. In Upper Hutt there were only 56 sales last June with 83 at the same time last year.
With prices still rising by an average of $30,000 in the past year to June and a low number of properties sold recently, we at Harcourts are still working with hundreds of buyers who are looking to buy.
A further example of this is that the Wellington region is taking just 31 days for the average property to sell, which is well below the national average.
If you have been thinking of selling your house, now may be the time! Contact Jon to discuss your options today!
The Upper Hutt real estate market is seeing record low numbers of properties for sale, whilst buyer numbers are remaining steady. As a result, properties are selling extremely quickly, and achieving excellent prices.
